EQUALIZER SW15TE HYDRAULIC FLANGE SPREADER

• Equalizer flange spreaders feature an integrated wedge design that poduces a smooth, parallel wedge movement that creates a force perpendicular to the flanges faces being separated. This design eliminates flange damage and spreading wedge failure. (See il. 1 below)

• Equalizer's unique interlocking wedge design features no first step bending or risk of slipping out of the flange joint
• This unique design requires a very small access gap of only .24 in. (6 mm) and is capable of producing a gap of up to 3.3" when using both step blocks.
• A total of 15.5 tons of force is available at every step including the first step.
• Few moving parts means durability and minimal tool maintenance.
• Special coating is applied to reduce slippage.
• No forces are created that would propell the spreading wedge from the flange like a typical hammered wedge. see il. 2
• Solid sliding wedge between speader jaws eliminates jaw breakage and the potential of flanges slaming togeather causing worker harm or equipment damage.

Hydraulic Flange Spreader

This portable, robust, lightweight flange spreader generates a smooth spreading force of 15.5 tons (155 kN) from 10,000 psi (700 bar) of hydraulic pressure to safely spread flange joints. The Equalizer™ unique interlocking first step enhances safety giving a secure hold from a small 0.24" (6 mm) access gap.

APPLICATION: Any flange with an access gap of at least .24" (6mm).

If the flange you are working on does not have a 0.24" (6 mm) gap, consider using a Secure Grip flange spreader. If this is not an option, use the MG7TM flange spreader to create the necessary 0.24" gap.

THE SW15TE FLANGE SPREADER is 1.5 tons more powerful than the FSH-14 Flange Spreader.

This produces a reverse force that trys to propell the wedge back out of the flange. This will also cause damage to flange face. EXTREME CAUTION SHOUD BE EXERCISED WITH THIS PROCEDURE. il. 2
